Timothy Armstrong

Timothy Armstrong is a Managing Director of H.I.G. Capital. Tim has more than ten years of private equity experience, working with both mid-cap and large-cap companies. He is responsible for all key aspects of the private investment transaction process, including: investment origination, transaction structuring and negotiation, and portfolio company oversight.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2008, Tim was a partner at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm, where he had been responsible for retail and consumer investing. He began his private equity career in 1996 when he joined Saunders Karp & Megrue, and he spent the subsequent ten years investing in the middle market. In 2005, Saunders Karp & Megrue merged with Apax Partners.

Tim earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University.
