Fernando Marques Oliveira

Mr. Marques Oliveira, with over 15 years of experience in the Brazilian private equity market, is as Managing Director and Head of H.I.G.'s Brazil and Latin America team. Before joining H.I.G., he was Managing Director, Head for Latin America and Member of the Global Council at General Atlantic, where he participated in various deals, including Qualicorp (QUAL3) and Peixe Urbano. Prior to General Atlantic, Mr. Marques Oliveira was Head of the Illiquid Strategies Group at Icatu, a leading Brazilian family office, where he spent 11 years and led several successful deals, including Mabel, Aracruz and Grupo ABC. He has been a Director on the Board of almost 20 different Brazilian companies, including Elekeiroz, a publicly-traded Brazilian petrochemical company.

Mr. Oliveira received his B.A. in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo with highest honors, J.P.C. Vieira scholar, ranking first in his class. Born in Brazil, he is fluent in both Portuguese and English.
