Bret Wiener

Bret Wiener is a Managing Director of H.I.G. Capital. Bret is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth and operational strategies. Bret has private equity investing experience across a wide range of industries including business services, financial services, environmental, manufacturing, aviation, and distribution. Bret currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2004, Bret was with the Corporate Strategy Group at Microsoft. In this role, he was responsible for a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. Previously, he was in the investment banking division of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Bret also worked at the predecessor of OrbiMed Capital, a leading healthcare investment firm.

Bret received his undergraduate degree from New York University and his M.B.A from Stanford University.
