Andrew Steel, Principal, U.K. Before joining H.I.G. Europe in 2007, Andrew, a U.K. national, served as Director of Strategic Business Development at Home Depot Inc, a $90B retailer headquartered in Atlanta. There he directed the successful acquisition of a number of building products and home improvement services companies.
Before that, he founded, led and sold several businesses in the manufacturing and services sectors in the UK. Previously, he held a series of general management positions of increasing seniority in the UK and USA with Caradon Plc, the building materials conglomerate now part of Honeywell Inc. Andrew began his career with the strategy consulting firm Booz. Allen & Hamilton in London.
He graduated with an honours degree in Economics from St. Andrews University and has an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Bobby Jones Scholar.
